Clarendon Park

Clarendon Park is a student-friendly area located in the south of Leicester and is minutes away from the University of Leicester. The area is brimming with students, young professionals and families and is notably a very community-based area. You will be fully equipped for your needs with the array of restaurants, bars and cafes situated on the vibrant Queens Road intersecting the area. Queens Road also has a Sainsburys, Post Office and a Costa for that all-important coffee fix in the mornings! The Clarendon is a well-known student-friendly pub buzzing most evenings for those all-important social gatherings. There is also a bus stop situated on Queens Road that is only a quick 15 minute trip into the city centre.

Highfields

Highfields is perfect if you have a group of friends studying at both De Montfort University and the University of Leicester, as the area is right in between the two. You will never be short of a restaurant to try as London Road is full of so many different types of cuisine to accommodate even the pickiest of eaters! The area is well connected as it is a stones throw from Leicester train station. Highfields is also close to Victoria Park, famous for runs or a kick about with your friends. You can also rent the tennis courts or football pitches. For those special nights out, Highfields is very close to De Montfort Hall, which has an array of different events throughout the year – from comedy nights to pantos!

Bede Park

Bede Park is the prime location for De Montfort University students – less than 10 minutes away from the university campus and the city centre. The area is ideally situated from Leicester’s busy nightlife – the student clubs are just a short walk away, so you can save on those Ubers! For those nature lovers, Bede Park consists of many scenic routes. It is ideally situated for walks along the Grand Union Canal, Riverside Park and Bede Park itself. Narborough Road, next to Bede park and officially the most culturally diverse road in the UK, is filled with an array of different restaurants, bars and cafes. You will also be within walking distance from The King Power Stadium so you can show your support to Leicester FC and attend a football match!

Westcotes

Westcotes, also known as the West End is ideally situated for De Montfort University students. It is a heavily student-populated area, so you will be surrounded by friendly and familiar faces when on your travels! The area is a walking distance to Narborough Road and Braunstone Gate – one of the most vibrant roads you’ll ever visit! The Road is bursting with culture conveyed through the many restaurants you’ll encounter walking past. The area is ideally situated for your weekly shop, with both Lidl and Tesco being less than a 10-minute walk away! Westcotes is a brisk 20-minute walk into Leicester city centre for those shopping trips, and if you don’t fancy the cold, then the area has excellent transportation links to get you all around the city.
